Welcome to DMA-Docs

It takes a lot to get something built, but what is a lot? For Davignon Martin; a lot is a series of incremental steps. If you can organize yourself in a meaningful way, and set your sights on a clear target then you stand a pretty good chance of accomplishing a lot.

Those steps can be looked at from two different perspectives - the technical perspective or the practice perspective. This documentation will cover both the technical aspects to follow in order to create as well as the tacit knowledge acquired over many projects that those construction drawings saw to fruition.

Four Lenses

There are 4 lenses to look at when documenting a standard:

Drafting / Drawings

This is the actual drawings themselves, from how they look to how they are tagged.

Modelling

This encompasses how we model things, layers, assemblies and the tools used to create these things.

Construction Knowledge

To build things, you need to know how they come together.

Regulation / Building Code

Compliance; to some it is an ugly word, but to us it is law! Navigating and understanding the various building codes and standards to follow is what professional practice is all about.
