Dimensions must be to model elements, do not use flying lines to dim things.
Hatches and application of materials must be done using model elments and visibilty; this is not to be done with hatch regions and overlay drawings. Model updates must update views so that your model is the single source of truth.
Model in place for objects that have extremely custom shapes; it is okay to use model in place.
We do not ever use CAD imports, we can use CAD links for alignment and markups but the use of CAD should never display in production views. CAD links need to go into their own workset so that the visibility can be controlled.
Rooms do not go in the interior model, you use the rooms that are in architectural model. You also want to avoid double modelling items ever; so if there is an interior only model, you need to determine if the rooms are interior's responsibility to name, number and organize or do you get the architectural team to do it. If it is the former, then you can model in interior model.
