View templates are meant to bring consistency to your views and should be applied to as many views as possible within a series of drawings. The only thing we wont set with the view is the scale of the drawing. For instance, the following views would all be generated with the same view template DM VT - A22 Construction Plans : - (Drawing Scale - 1/8” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 01 Part 1 (Drawing Scale - 1/4” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 01 Part 1 - Callout 1 (Drawing Scale - 1/2” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 001 (Drawing Scale - 6” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 002 (Drawing Scale - 6” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 01 Part 2 (Drawing Scale - 1/4” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 003 (Drawing Scale - 6” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 01 Part 3 (Drawing Scale - 1/4” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 01 Part 3 - Callout 2 (Drawing Scale - 1/2” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 004 (Drawing Scale - 6” = 1’-0”)
- (Drawing Scale - 1/8” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 02 Part 1 (Drawing Scale - 1/4” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 02 Part 1 - Callout 1 (Drawing Scale - 1/2” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 005 (Drawing Scale - 6” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 002 (Sim. Reference)
- Construction Plan - Level 02 Part 2 (Drawing Scale - 1/4” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 003 (Sim. Reference)
- Construction Plan - Level 02 Part 3 (Drawing Scale - 1/4” = 1’-0”)
- Construction Plan - Level 02 Part 3 - Callout 2 (Drawing Scale - 1/2” = 1’-0”)
- Plan Detail 006 (Drawing Scale - 6” = 1’-0”)
In order to create these views efficiently the key plans would be setup first and then the subsequent views would all be created as callouts using the same view type, where in you would set the drawing scale explicitly.
